![]() ![]() Anyone who has little patience with glitter, shimmer, and sparkle (these are hardcore shimmer in the realms of flakier pigments such as Kitschmas).Anyone who enjoys collecting Sonia Kashuk for Target palettes (what? I fall into that category!).Anyone wanting a smart little pressie that’s budget friendly for a friend or a secret Santa at work, school, etc….Those who want a shimmery, festive Holiday look!.White is such a magnet for dirt isn’t it? The white silver clutch style packaging is divine but I am worried about it getting dirty after a few uses. Apply some other shade of shadow and proceed to follow up with one of these to add a bit of sparkle, particularly great when you want to liven up matte finishes. They are loosely packed so they really do cause a fair bit of drama during application and are best suited as an over base. Indeed, I love the shimmer but hate the fall out. I have a love, hate relationship with Sonia’s shimmering shades of shadows. You can of course go with the intended look which I believe is using the shimmery shadow on your eye and lining with a liner shade but I think the shimmer shades do have very subtle pay off plus they tend to run messy as an all over shadow so I’d stick to doing the reverse but it’s entirely up to you. ![]() The liners are a little scratchy when applied as a shadow I guess this is because they have fine glittery bits embedded in them but they do have great color pay off and I personally think that the best option for application is to select one as a lid and crease color and proceed to blend some of the shimmery shades of shadow on top. The palette includes the typical loosely packed glittery pigment shadows in shades of brown, gray, and gold plus liners or shadows depending how you use them in brown, black, and gray. One of the main differences is this year they included eyeliners rather than shadows but psssttt…you totally can use them as shadows in my humblest. This year they went for more traditional colors in a white clutch. Last year this palette was released in black sequin style clutch and featured taupe shade of pink, pewter, and cream. I picked up the Sonia Kashuk What Glitters Glows Eye Palette, let’s have a look!Ī festive clutch style palette featuring three eyeliners and three eyeshadows. She does favor releasing this style palette for the Holidays and actually it’s kinda a seasonal release for her as well but I do like exploring these palettes regardless as they are inexpensive, make great gifts, and are elegant palettes for a nice price. Yes, it is a tad bit of a rehash on Sonia’s normal releases. Sonia Kashuk What Glitters Glows Eye Palette for Holiday 2010 should be available at your local Target, if not, give it time it should be there shortly. ![]()
